Stamp PDF documents: approved, paid, confidential

1 min read·25 July 2026

Place an "APPROVED", "PAID", or "DRAFT" stamp on any PDF in seconds. PDFrust's stamp tool lets you add text or image stamps, position them precisely, and apply them to one or all pages.

Stamp vs. watermark

A stamp is a compact, opaque marking at a specific spot — e.g. bottom-right corner of a page. A watermark covers the full page surface semi-transparently. Use stamps for status labels, watermarks for ownership marking.

Add a text stamp

Open the stamp tool, upload your PDF, and type your stamp text ("APPROVED", "COPY", "FINAL"). Choose colour, font, and rotation. Drag the stamp to the desired position on the page. Apply to all pages or only the first.

Image stamp (logo, seal, initials)

Upload a PNG image as your stamp — ideal for a company logo, an official seal, or a scanned signature. Use a PNG with a transparent background for a clean, professional result.

Lock stamps permanently

Want to prevent the stamp from being removed? Apply the flatten tool after stamping to merge all layers into a non-editable PDF. The stamp becomes a permanent, inseparable part of the document.
