Add your signature to a PDF without printing

1 min read·25 July 2026

Printing, signing, and scanning is a thing of the past. With PDFrust you can sign any PDF directly in your browser — draw your signature, position it, and download the signed document in seconds.

Draw, upload, or type your signature

Open the sign tool and upload your PDF. Draw your signature with the mouse or — on tablet and phone — with your finger. Alternatively, upload an image of your handwritten signature (PNG with transparent background).

Position and resize

Drag the signature to the right spot on the page and resize it as needed. Need to sign multiple pages? Add signatures to each page before saving.

Is a digital signature legally valid?

A drawn signature on a PDF is acceptable in most everyday situations — rental agreements, quotes, forms. For high-value legally binding contracts, a qualified electronic signature (eIDAS) from a certified provider may be required.

Add date and initials

Alongside your signature, use the stamp tool to add a text stamp with today's date or your initials. This makes it clear when and by whom the document was signed.
