How to add a date and signature to a PDF

1 min read·25 July 2026

For many documents — contracts, forms, declarations — you need to add both a signature and a date. With PDFrust you can do this in one workflow.

Place the signature

Open the Sign tool on PDFrust. Upload your PDF. Draw with mouse or trackpad, or upload an image of your signature. Place the signature on the correct line or position in the document.

Add the date with the stamp tool

After signing, open (or use in parallel) the stamp tool. Enter the date as a text stamp: e.g. "Amsterdam, 25 July 2026". Choose font, size, and colour. Place the date next to or below the signature.

Date as a form field

Does the PDF form already have a date field? Use the form-fill tool to type the date into the existing field — then you don't need a stamp.

Flatten after signing

Want to prevent the signature or date from being removed later? Use the flatten tool to permanently lock the document.
