PDF for interior designers and stylists: presentations and project files
2 min read·25 July 2026
Interior designers work with visually rich presentations, material specifications, supplier quotes and client agreements. PDF is the only format that perfectly preserves the layout and quality of all those documents.
Moodboard and concept presentation
A moodboard combines colour palettes, material photos, furniture specifications and mood images. Export from Canva, Adobe InDesign or PowerPoint as PDF. Merge floor plans and 3D renders using PDF merge. Compress for email delivery.
Material and product specifications
Each material or furniture choice includes a product photo, supplier name, article number, dimensions, price and lead time. Bundle all specs in a clear PDF document. Add to the client presentation. Update easily by replacing the relevant page.

Budget overview and quote
An interior design quote specifies: design fee, purchase prices, mark-up, installation and VAT. Create as a PDF with columns per room. Add a "QUOTE" watermark. Client signs for agreement and pays a deposit based on the PDF contract.
Purchase orders and supplier orders
Purchase orders are sent to suppliers as PDFs: item, quantity, price, delivery address and requested delivery date. Retain per project. Link to the client invoice for correct recharging.
Final handover and client dossier
On completion, the client receives a handover dossier: as-built floor plans, product warranty certificates, care instructions and invoice summary. Merge everything into one clear PDF. Send digitally and print a copy for the client.
