Professional PDF watermarking: text, image, or logo
1 min read·25 July 2026
A watermark on a PDF signals its status or ownership at a glance. PDFrust lets you add text or image watermarks to every page — choose transparency, rotation, and position to match your document's style.
When to use a watermark
"DRAFT", "CONFIDENTIAL", "SAMPLE", or "DO NOT DISTRIBUTE" — these are classic use cases. Also useful for placing a company logo on every page of a report, proposal, or presentation.
Add a text watermark
Open the watermark tool, upload your PDF, and type your text. Choose colour, opacity, and rotation (diagonal is the most impactful). Set the position: centre of page, corner, or a specific location.

Use a logo or image as watermark
Upload a PNG image as your watermark — ideal for company logos. Use a PNG with a transparent background so the watermark sits lightly over page content without obscuring it.
Watermark vs. stamp
A watermark is semi-transparent and covers a large portion of the page. A stamp is a small, opaque image or text in a specific corner (e.g., "APPROVED" bottom-right). Use the stamp tool for stamps.
