2, 4, or 9 PDF pages on one A4 sheet

Need a handout with 2 slides per page, or a compact overview of a presentation? PDFrust's N-up tool places multiple PDF pages on a single sheet — useful for saving paper and creating handouts.
What is N-up?
N-up (also "imposed layout") is a print format where N pages from a document are reduced and placed side by side or in a grid on a single sheet. 2-up = 2 pages per sheet, 4-up = 4 pages per sheet, 9-up = 9 pages per sheet.
When to use N-up
Meeting handouts with 2 or 3 slides per page. Thumbnail overview of a large document for review. Saving print costs by fitting more pages per sheet. Business cards or labels to cut out after printing.

How to set up N-up in PDFrust
Open the nup tool, upload your PDF. Choose pages per sheet (2, 4, 6, 9), reading order (horizontal or vertical), and target paper size (e.g. A4 for 4 × A6 pages). Click "Create" — the result is a new PDF with the N-up layout.
N-up vs. booklet
N-up places pages sequentially side by side with no special reordering. A booklet (see our booklet guide) reorders pages into a specific sequence so the document reads correctly after folding. Use N-up for handouts, booklet for folded booklets.
