N-up printing: multiple pages per sheet for handouts

Want to print two or four PDF pages per sheet? N-up printing saves paper and creates handy handouts from presentations. PDFrust reorders the pages for you so every sheet comes out right.

What is n-up printing?

N-up means the number of pages per sheet. 2-up = 2 pages side by side on one A4. 4-up = 4 pages in a grid on one A4. Widely used for: presentation handouts, flyers, notepads, printing A5 documents on A4.

Orientation for 2-up

2-up is most used for presentations (like PowerPoint Notes Pages format). Make sure source pages are landscape for the best result, or use PDFrust's rotate function before combining.

Dimensions and margins

With 2-up on A4, each page is reduced to A5 format. Text must be large enough to remain readable. If the original text is too small, consider printing 2-up on A3 or enlarging the text in the original.
