How to mirror or flip a PDF page horizontally
1 min read·25 July 2026
Sometimes a PDF is mirrored — text runs right to left, or an image is flipped. With PDFrust you mirror or flip pages in a few clicks.
When do you use mirroring?
Mirrored PDFs occur with scanned documents where the document was placed incorrectly on the scanner, or with certain exports from graphic software. A horizontal mirror flips the page around its vertical axis; a vertical mirror flips around its horizontal axis.
Mirror tool in PDFrust
Open the mirror tool on PDFrust. Upload your PDF. Choose "Flip horizontally" (left-right flip) or "Flip vertically" (top-bottom flip). Select the pages you want to mirror and click Save.

Rotate vs mirror
Rotating turns the page 90° or 180°. Mirroring flips the page around its axis. If text is upside down: use rotate (180°). If text runs right to left: use mirror.
Mirroring for print work
Some print workflows require mirrored PDFs for printing on transparent material or textiles (heat press). Use the mirror tool on PDFrust to prepare the pages.
