What is a booklet PDF?
A booklet (or saddle-stitch brochure) is a folded and stapled document. A4 sheets folded in half create an A5 booklet. Pages must be printed in a special order so that after folding the numbering is correct.

Print settings
In the print dialogue: choose A4 paper, Double-sided (flip on short edge), Actual size (don't scale to fit). After printing: fold the sheets along the centreline, staple with a long-arm stapler along the fold line.
More than 8 pages
A booklet of more than 8 pages becomes difficult to fold and staple with a standard stapler. With more than 20 pages: consider multiple "signatures" (sets of sheets) or a professional printer.
