Watermark your PDF: text or logo on every page
1 min read·25 July 2026
Protecting documents from unauthorised use? A watermark is the simplest way. PDFrust adds text or image watermarks to all pages at once — free in your browser.
Text vs image watermark
A text watermark — "DRAFT", "CONFIDENTIAL", your name or company name — is the most common. Choose font, colour, size and transparency. An image watermark (logo) gives your documents a professional look.
Set transparency
A watermark that's too dark makes the document unreadable. One that's too light gets ignored. Typical values: 20–40% transparency for a subtle effect, 50–70% for clear protection. Test with a preview before processing all pages.

Position and rotation
Diagonal watermarks (45°) are hardest to remove and most visible. Centred watermarks look neutral. Corner watermarks are subtle but less effective as a deterrent.
All pages at once
PDFrust processes all pages of the document in one go — no need to edit each page separately.
Remove a watermark?
Once added, a watermark is hard to remove. Use the flatten tool to permanently embed it in the PDF so it can't be removed through layer management.
