When do you use a stamp?

Legal documents are often marked with "DRAFT" or "VOID" while not yet final. Confidential reports get a "CONFIDENTIAL" stamp. Internal documents that may not be shared externally receive an "INTERNAL USE" marking.

How does the stamp tool work?

Type the desired text, choose the position (centre, corner, diagonal) and size. The tool places the text on every page of your PDF. You can choose a transparent or opaque background behind the text.

Difference from the watermark tool?

The stamp tool places text at a fixed position, like an official stamp. The watermark tool places text diagonally across the whole page as a visual overlay. Both are available on PDFrust. Use stamp for professional markings, watermark for copyright notices.

Can I also use images as a stamp?

The stamp tool works with text. For a logo or image stamp you can use the watermark tool, which supports images in addition to text. Combine both tools for a fully stamped document.
