Every PDF file contains metadata: who created it, when, with which program, and which PDF version. With PDFrust's info tool you view all that data in one overview.

What information does a PDF contain?

A PDF automatically stores: the author (creator), the creation date, the date of last modification, the program used (e.g. Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word), the PDF version (1.4, 1.7, 2.0), the number of pages, the page size, and security (encrypted or not).

What do you use the info tool for?

Check whether a received PDF really came from the claimed sender (creator program, date). Verify whether the file is encrypted before forwarding. Identify the PDF version if you have compatibility issues with older viewers.
