SENCO and PDF: individual education plans, care plans and educational reports
1 min read·21 September 2029
Special Educational Needs Coordinators oversee support for pupils with special educational needs. They create individual education plans, organise care meetings and report to parents and external partners. PDF keeps that sensitive documentation organised and legally compliant.
Creating Individual Education Plans (IEP)
The IEP is a legally required document for pupils who need additional support. As PDF it is signed by school and parents, dated and unmodifiable. Archive each IEP per school year as PDF per pupil.
Group plans for differentiated instruction
A group plan describes at what level each pupil works and what adjustments the teacher makes. As PDF it is easy to share with teachers and archive internally, without being editable by unauthorised persons.

Care meeting records
MDT and care meeting gatherings produce records that must be retained. Bundle records per pupil as a PDF care dossier. Add external reports (from speech therapists, psychologists) as supplementary appendices.
Communication with external parties
Referral letters to external care providers (speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychological help) and reports to support networks are delivered as PDF. Merge relevant pupil information for a complete referral.
Parent reports for pupils with special needs
Parents of children with special needs receive more detailed reports than standard school reports. As PDF these documents are archivable by parents and not modifiable, preventing disputes about content later.
