Frequently asked questions

How do I enter a page range?

Use a dash for a consecutive range and commas for individual pages. For example: 1-3 gives pages 1, 2 and 3. The combination 1-3, 5, 8-10 gives pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9 and 10.

Can I download multiple separate chunks at once?

If you want multiple separate chunks as individual files, use the 'Split PDF to ZIP' tool. That turns each chunk into a separate PDF file and bundles them in a ZIP download.

What if I want every page separately?

Use the 'Split PDF to ZIP' tool with the 'Each page separately' option. That gives you one ZIP file containing a separate PDF for each page.

Does the quality of the pages change?

No. The selected pages are copied unchanged from the original PDF. Text stays selectable, images keep their resolution and links continue to work.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your own browser. Your file never leaves your device and is not stored anywhere.

Is it free?

Yes, completely free, without watermark or account. The site is paid for by ads.

You can do it directly in your browser on PDFrust, without installing any software.

Why in the browser?

PDFrust runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and modern JavaScript libraries such as pdf-lib and PDF.js. Your file is never sent to a server — all processing happens locally on your device. This means your documents remain private by design, regardless of what they contain. There is no account required, no file size limit, and nothing is stored after you close the tab.
