Change PDF page format: scale without quality loss

PDF pages the wrong format? Scale from A4 to A3 for a larger printout, or from A3 to A4 for standard paper. PDFrust scales any PDF to the desired format.
Difference between scaling and cropping
Scaling enlarges or reduces the entire page content proportionally. Cropping removes part of the page. If you want to print an A4 document on A3, use scaling (the document gets bigger). If you want to remove excess whitespace, use cropping.
Standard paper formats
A0 (841×1189 mm), A1 (594×841 mm), A2 (420×594 mm), A3 (297×420 mm), A4 (210×297 mm), A5 (148×210 mm), A6 (105×148 mm). US formats: Letter (216×279 mm), Legal (216×356 mm).

Quality when scaling up
A vector PDF (created in Word, InDesign, Illustrator) scales losslessly — any size gives a sharp result. A PDF with embedded raster images loses quality when significantly enlarged — the pixels become larger.
Use case: poster printing
Want to print an A4 document as a poster on A0? Use the resize tool to scale, but check that all images have high enough resolution. Vector content scales perfectly; scanned text or photos become blurry with too much enlargement.
Match format to printer
Print shops specify the required format including "bleed" (overflow margin). If your printer requires A5+3mm bleed, scale to A5 and add 3mm margin using the margins tool.
