Remove PDF password: open and unlock a secured PDF

Got a PDF with a password you have to enter every time? Or forgotten an old password? PDFrust's unlock tool removes the password protection.
Two types of PDF security
An "open password" locks access to the PDF — you need the password to open the document. A "permissions restriction" (owner password) lets you open the PDF but blocks certain actions (printing, copying, editing). PDFrust's unlock tool addresses permissions restrictions.

Open-password situation
Is the PDF fully locked with an open password (you can't even open it)? Then you need the original password to log in. PDFrust cannot open locked PDFs without the password — this is a security principle.
Why unlock?
Companies sometimes send PDFs with copy protection. Learning materials or reports sometimes can't be printed. If you're the legitimate owner of the document, unlocking your own PDF is entirely legitimate.
