How to print multiple PDF pages per sheet

1 min read·25 July 2026

Want to save paper by placing multiple PDF pages on one sheet? PDFrust's NUp tool places 2, 4, or more pages per sheet automatically in the right order.

What is 2-up or 4-up printing?

2-up: two pages side by side on one A4 sheet. 4-up: four pages per sheet (2×2). This is useful for handouts at presentations, publication test prints, or saving paper.

NUp in PDFrust

Open the NUp tool on PDFrust. Upload your PDF. Choose the desired layout (2-up, 4-up, or custom). PDFrust reorders the pages and places them in the chosen grid. Download the combined PDF.

Difference from booklet tool

The NUp tool places pages in a grid (1,2,3,4 left to right). The booklet tool reorders pages specially for folded booklets (page 8 and 1 together, etc.). Choose NUp for handouts; choose booklet for printing and folding.

Practical uses

Presentation handouts (2 slides per page), study overviews (4 pages per A4 as a summary), test versions of a brochure on less paper, or compressing a long document for overview printing.
