How to print grid, dot, or lined paper as a PDF
1 min read·25 July 2026
Bullet journals, sketch pads and maths notes are nicer on grid paper than on blank sheets. With PDFrust's gridPaper tool you create your own lined, grid, or dot paper PDF in any size.
Which paper types are available?
PDFrust's gridPaper tool offers: lined paper (horizontal lines, adjustable line spacing), grid paper (squares), dot paper (bullet journal style), isometric paper (for 3D sketching), and music staff paper (stave lines). Choose the type and the distance between lines.
Settings
You choose the page size (A4, A5, Letter), the colour of the grid (light grey, blue, green), the distance between lines or dots (5 mm, 6 mm, etc.) and the number of pages. The result is a ready-to-print PDF you can download or save immediately.

Bullet journal: dot paper
Dot paper has a subtle grid of dots at regular intervals (5 or 6 mm). It is less visible than a grid but still provides structure for planners, calendars and journaling. Print on 90 g or heavier paper to reduce bleed-through.
Combined with other tools
Make a stack of paper for your school year: generate grid paper with gridPaper, add page numbers with the numbers tool, and bundle everything with merge. Print it as a booklet with the booklet tool.
