Google Drive is a handy place to store and share PDFs. But for merging, splitting, or compressing you use PDFrust — and after editing you save the result back to Drive. Here is the workflow.
Upload PDF to Google Drive
Open drive.google.com. Click "+ New" > File upload. Select your PDF. After uploading the file is available to you and anyone you give access to.
Download PDF from Drive for editing
Right-click the PDF in Drive and choose "Download". Open PDFrust in your browser and upload the file. Make the desired changes (merge, split, compress, sign). Download the result.

Put it back in Google Drive
Upload the edited PDF back via "+ New" > File upload. Want to replace the original? Upload with the same name or use right-click > "Manage versions" > "Upload new version" to keep the version history.
View PDFs in Drive
Google Drive has a built-in PDF viewer. You can search the text but not edit it. Use the viewer to quickly navigate through a document before deciding to download it for editing.
