How to merge PDFs in Chrome

1 min read·25 July 2026

Chrome is the most used browser in the world — and the easiest tool to merge PDFs without installing anything. Open PDFrust, drag your files in, and download the result.

Step 1: open PDFrust in Chrome

Open a new tab in Chrome and navigate to pdfrust.com. The site loads immediately — no login, no installation. Click on the merge tool.

Step 2: add PDFs

Click the upload area or drag PDF files directly from Windows Explorer into the tab. You can also Ctrl+click to select multiple files at once via the file dialog.

Step 3: set order and merge

Drag the file thumbnails into the desired order. Click "Merge". Chrome processes everything locally — your files are not sent to a server. After processing click "Download".

Chrome as PDF viewer

Chrome also has a built-in PDF viewer. Drag a PDF onto a Chrome tab to view it. You cannot edit it in the viewer, but you can search for text with Ctrl+F.
