How to insert or add a blank page to a PDF
2 min read·25 July 2026
Want to add a blank page to the beginning, end, or middle of a PDF? Handy for separator pages, note space, or binding. With PDFrust's addBlank tool you add a blank page in one step.
When do you add a blank page?
You want to add a separate title page at the beginning. You have a double-sided printed document and the first section must start on a right-hand page (mirror pagination). You want to add a blank page after each chapter as a breather. Or you want to add note space after each page.
AddBlank tool in PDFrust
Open the addBlank tool on PDFrust. Upload your PDF. Choose the position: at the beginning, at the end, or after a specific page number. Choose the page size of the blank page (taken from the document or customised). Click Add and download the updated PDF.

Multiple blank pages at once
Want to insert a blank page after every page (e.g. for a course where each slide gets a note page)? Use the organize tool to reorder the pages, or run the addBlank tool multiple times. An alternative is the NUp tool with 'half-filled pages'.
Removing a blank page
Accidentally added a blank page or is there already one in your PDF? Use the delete tool to remove specific page numbers, or the blankPages tool to automatically detect and remove blank pages.
