Insert or delete blank pages from any PDF document
1 min read·25 July 2026
Sometimes you need to insert a blank page before a new chapter, or delete empty pages that crept in during scanning. PDFrust has tools for both scenarios.
Add blank pages
Open the addBlank tool and upload your PDF. Choose after which page to insert a blank page — e.g. after page 4 for a new section. Add multiple blank pages at different positions. Ideal for preparing a document for duplex printing or leaving space for handwritten notes.
Delete blank pages
Scanners sometimes produce accidental blank pages between content. Use the delete tool to select and remove specific pages. Not sure which pages are blank? Use the organize tool to see thumbnails and visually identify empty pages.

Blank page at start or end
For a professional report: add a blank page at the end so the back cover is always blank when printed double-sided. Use the merge tool to combine a blank PDF with your report if you need a blank page at the beginning.
Update page numbers after adding pages
After inserting blank pages, existing page numbers may be off. Use the numbers tool to add fresh page numbering or the headerFooter tool to update existing numbers throughout the document.
