How to split a PDF: extract pages easily

1 min read·1 July 2026

Do you want to extract a few pages from a large PDF, or divide a document into several separate files? You can do it directly in your browser on PDFrust, without installing any software.

Why would you split a PDF?

You receive a 50-page document but only need 3 pages. Or you want to save chapters as separate files. Splitting is also useful to make a large file smaller for sending.

How does splitting work?

Upload your PDF, type which pages you want to keep (for example 1-5 or 2, 4, 7), and download the new file. The original PDF stays untouched on your device.

Can I also delete pages?

Yes. With the delete tool you specify which pages to remove. The rest is saved in a new file. This is useful if you want to keep a long series of pages but remove a few from the middle.

Can I change the page order?

With the organize tool you can drag pages into a new order. You can also remove individual pages using the thumbnails. This lets you create a PDF with the right pages in the right order in one step.
