How to crop a PDF page: select and keep a specific area

Want to cut out a part of a PDF page — for example just a figure, diagram, or table? With PDFrust's crop tool you select a rectangular area and trim away the rest.
When do you use cropping?
You have a scan of an A4 page but only want to extract the signature or a diagram. You have a poster PDF from which you want to keep one quadrant. You want to remove white border paper around a scanned document but need more control than trimMargins offers.

Open the crop tool on PDFrust. Upload your PDF. Drag a selection frame over the area you want to keep. You see a live preview of the cropped page. Adjust the frame precisely with the edge handles. Select whether to crop all pages the same way or each page individually. Click Crop and download the result.

Crop vs. trimMargins
TrimMargins automatically trims empty white space based on the existing content. Crop lets you manually define a precise rectangle. For removing scan borders: trimMargins. For cutting out a specific part of a page: crop.
Cropping and page size
After cropping the page size is smaller. If you want the page to be A4 size after cropping, use the resize tool on the result. That preserves the page dimensions while the cropped content is enlarged to A4 format.
