Margins too tight, text too close to the edge, or wasted white space? PDFrust adjusts your PDF margins in the browser — without touching the original file.
Why adjust margins?
Common reasons: a PDF with tight margins doesn't print well (text gets cut off), you want to add space for handwritten notes, you're combining documents with inconsistent margins, or you want to remove the white border from a scanned document.
Increase margins
Add extra whitespace to the top, bottom, left or right of every page. Useful for documents intended for a binder (extra space on the left for hole punching) or for annotations.

Reduce margins (trim white border)
Scanned documents sometimes have large white borders that waste paper when printing. PDFrust trims the excess whitespace. Note: this is different from the crop tool, which cuts out a specific area.
Difference from cropping
Margin adjustment applies whitespace to all pages at once, uniformly. Cropping lets you set a specific area per page — more useful for removing letterheads or cutting out a specific section.
Consistency in bundled documents
If you merge multiple PDFs with different margins, the result looks inconsistent. Use the margins tool to make them uniform before merging.
