Edit PDFs on Chromebook: fast and free via browser

Chromebooks run ChromeOS and cannot install Windows software. But PDFrust works entirely in Chrome — no installation required, all edits in the browser.

How does PDFrust work on ChromeOS?

Open Chrome on your Chromebook and go to pdfrust.com. Choose your desired tool. Click "Choose file" and select a PDF from your Downloads folder or Google Drive. All processing happens locally in Chrome — no app to download, no Linux environment needed.

Save the PDF on Chromebook

After editing, click the download button. Chrome saves the file to the Downloads folder on your Chromebook. You'll find it in the Files app. From there you can upload it directly to Google Drive or share it via Gmail.

PDFrust and Google Drive

Click "Choose file" in PDFrust and select Google Drive as the source to open files from your Drive. After editing, download the result and drag it back to Drive — or use the share function in the Files app.

Add PDFrust to the home screen

Visit pdfrust.com in Chrome. Click the three dots (menu) → More tools → Create shortcut. This places PDFrust as an app icon on your Chromebook dock or launcher.
