Split a PDF into individual files — download as ZIP
1 min read·25 July 2026
Sometimes you want each page as a separate PDF, not one large merged file. With PDFrust's splitZip tool you export each page as a standalone PDF, neatly packed in a ZIP archive.
When do you use splitZip?
You have a 12-page invoice overview and want to forward each invoice as a separate file. Or you have a scanned book and want a PDF per chapter. With splitZip you split the PDF and download all individual files at once as a ZIP.
Difference from the regular split tool
The regular split tool lets you choose page ranges (e.g. pages 1–5 as one PDF, pages 6–10 as a second PDF). SplitZip makes each page a separate file and packages everything in one ZIP. That is faster when you want dozens of individual files.

How does it work?
Open the splitZip tool on PDFrust. Upload the PDF. Click 'Export as ZIP'. PDFrust turns each page into a separate PDF file, automatically names them (page-001.pdf, page-002.pdf, etc.), and packages them in a ZIP you download immediately.
Privacy and file size
All processing happens locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded. The ZIP size is comparable to the original PDF; files are not recompressed.
