Compile project files

An architecture project generates hundreds of documents: concept design, final design, construction drawings, quantities schedules, and correspondence. Merge all components into one PDF project file per phase. Stamp each drawing with the project number, revision code, and date.

Drawings in A0 or A1 format are not always usable for submission. Use the resize tool to convert drawings to A3 or A4 for discussion or submission. Note: scale annotations will no longer be correct — state this explicitly.

Bundle permit applications

A planning permit application to the local authority consists of: site plan, floor plans, elevations, sections, location map, title deed, and planning statement. Merge everything into one dossier PDF. Add page numbers and a table of contents via the header/footer tool.

Mark and annotate drawings

Reviewers mark drawings with comments. Stamp drawings with review status ("APPROVED", "REVISION REQUIRED") and the date. Send the reviewed dossier with the stamp tool as a visual status indicator.
