What is sepia?
Sepia is a brownish old photograph effect — the result of early photographic processes where silver salts were replaced by sepia ink for better archiving. In PDF context: colour or greyscale content is replaced by warm brown tones.
When to use sepia?

Difference from greyscale
Greyscale removes colour completely — neutral grey. Sepia replaces colour with warm brown tones — warmer and more nostalgic than grey. Both are good for printing; sepia works better for decorative documents.
Combining with other effects
Combine sepia with a light border or stamp for a vintage card effect. Or use sepia together with a text overlay (stamp tool) for an "old document" look.
Reverting
