PDF guide for product managers and product owners
1 min read·13 May 2027
Product managers process product roadmaps, technical specifications, user stories, and release notes. With PDFrust all these product documents can be quickly compiled and professionally shared with stakeholders.
Export product roadmaps
A product roadmap is exported from Jira, Productboard, or a spreadsheet as PDF. Compress for email delivery. Add a "CONFIDENTIAL" watermark to the version for external stakeholders. Also export an anonymised version without internal timelines for partners.
Compile functional specifications
A functional spec (PRD) consists of the problem statement, user stories, acceptance criteria, and mockups. Merge the separate components into one document. Bookmarks per feature or epic make navigation through the document easy.

Format release notes
Release notes are published as PDF for customers and internally as documentation. Merge screenshots and changelogs into the notes. Add a stamp "v[X.Y.Z]" to identify the version. Archive all release notes in a chronological changelog file.
Bundle user research
Reports of user interviews, survey analyses, and usability tests are bundled as PDF in the research archive. Merge transcripts, video screenshots, and quantitative analyses. Add bookmarks per participant or research question.
Export stakeholder presentations
Quarterly business reviews and product presentations are sent as PDFs to management. Export the presentation from Keynote or Google Slides. For sensitive presentations add a "FOR INTERNAL USE ONLY" watermark. Compress for email delivery.
