How to convert iPhone photos to PDF

Want to combine several iPhone photos into one PDF for a report, portfolio or insurance claim? There are two quick ways — directly on your iPhone or via PDFrust on your computer.

Method 1: Directly on your iPhone

Open the Files app (or Photos), select the photos you want, tap Share → Print. Then pinch down on the page preview with two fingers and release — you see a PDF preview you can save or share.

Method 2: Via PDFrust on your computer (including HEIC)

Transfer the photos to your computer via AirDrop or a USB cable. Open PDFrust and use the "JPG to PDF" tool. Both JPG and HEIC files (the default format of the iPhone camera) are supported. Drag the photos into the right order and download the PDF.

HEIC — the iPhone camera format

Photos taken with the iPhone camera are saved as HEIC files. This is an efficient format but not always compatible with other devices. PDFrust converts HEIC automatically. On Windows computers you sometimes need the "HEIC Image Extensions" from the Microsoft Store to open HEIC files.

Quality and file size

iPhone photos are often 3–8 MB each. A PDF with ten photos quickly becomes 30–60 MB. Use the "Compress PDF" tool on PDFrust afterwards to make it smaller for email or storage.
