Convert WebP to JPG in your browser
1 min read·24 July 2026
Many websites save images as WebP — a modern format that is not supported everywhere. PDFrust converts WebP, PNG and other images directly to JPG in your browser, without upload.
What is WebP and why does it not work everywhere?
WebP is an image format from Google that is smaller than JPG at comparable quality. Chrome, Firefox and Edge support it well, but older programs, printers and some website uploaders only accept JPG or PNG. Hence the need to convert.
How to convert to JPG?
Drag your WebP file to PDFrust's image converter. Choose JPG as the output format and set the desired quality (90% is a good default). Click convert and download the JPG file. Multiple files at once? Those are downloaded as a ZIP.

What is the difference between JPG and PNG?
JPG is a lossy format that makes smaller files — ideal for photos. PNG is lossless and keeps every pixel perfectly intact — better for logos, screenshots and images with text. For photos choose JPG; for images with hard edges and transparency choose PNG.
Which other formats are supported?
The converter works with all formats your browser supports: JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP, AVIF and GIF. HEIC (iPhone photos) is supported in Safari but not Chrome. You can also convert to WebP if you want a small file size.
