Export PDF pages as high-resolution images

1 min read·25 July 2026

Need a PDF page as an image — for a website, presentation, or email? PDFrust converts any PDF page to JPG or PNG at your chosen resolution, no software required.

When to convert PDF to image

Show a document cover in a web shop. Screenshot a PDF page for an email or newsletter. Extract illustrations from a PDF for use in a slide deck. Upload a "PDF" to a platform that only accepts images.

JPG or PNG?

JPG: smaller file, slight lossy compression — good for photos and complex imagery. PNG: larger file, lossless — good for screenshots, text, and flat-colour graphics with transparency. For most presentations and web use, JPG is the practical choice.

Set resolution (DPI)

72–96 DPI for screen use (small files); 150 DPI for general use; 300 DPI for print-ready quality. Higher DPI means larger files but sharper detail in fine text and graphics.

Convert multiple pages

If your PDF has multiple pages, the tool converts each page to a separate image file and packages them in a ZIP archive for download. To convert only one specific page, use the split tool first to isolate that page.
