PDF guide for bailiffs and debt enforcement professionals

2 min read·25 March 2027

Bailiffs process writs of service, attachment orders, official reports, and payment statements. With PDFrust these legal documents can be professionally assembled and safely archived.

Prepare a writ of service

A writ contains the court order or summons, the details of the party involved, and the official act. Prepare the writ as PDF, sign digitally with the bailiff qualification, and stamp with office details. Flatten the final document to make it legally irrevocable.

Bundle attachment documentation

For bank attachment or attachment of moveable assets, several documents are required: the judgment, the attachment order, and the official report of attachment. Merge all documents into one attachment file per debtor. Use bookmarks per debtor for quick retrieval.

Archive official reports

Each official report must be archived immediately after completion in accordance with professional regulations. Save the signed report as a protected PDF — no editing after completion. Add the official reference number as a stamp. Archive per financial year in a secured file.

Prepare payment statements

Creditors periodically receive a statement of amounts recovered, costs, and open files. Export the statement as PDF from the debtor management system and attach the relevant payment confirmations. Stamp the statement "CONFIDENTIAL".

Protect enforcement titles

A certified copy of a judgment or notarial deed is an enforcement title and must not be modified. Store the title as a strictly protected PDF (no editing, no copying, no printing without authorisation). Keep in a client vault with limited access.
