PDF guide for lawyers, corporate counsel, and legal professionals
1 min read·24 December 2026
Lawyers and corporate counsel process contracts, legal opinions, court rulings, and correspondence daily. With PDFrust all these documents can be quickly merged, annotated, and securely shared.
Annotate and review contracts
When reviewing contracts, add comments and objections to the text. Use PDFrust's Annotations tool to highlight paragraphs, add comments, and make change requests visible. Export the annotated version as PDF and send it back to the counterparty.
Compile a legal case file
A legal case file contains correspondence, claim, defence, exhibits, and court rulings. Merge all documents in chronological or procedural order. Add a table of contents via the Bookmarks tool for quick navigation through the file.

Archive court rulings
Published court rulings are often HTML-based. Print them to PDF or convert for archiving. Merge relevant rulings with internal jurisprudence summaries. Use OCR for scanned older rulings.
Redact confidential information
In legal documents shared externally, confidential information sometimes needs to be removed: names, account numbers, identification numbers, or trade secrets. Use PDFrust's Redact tool to permanently remove text — not merely mask it with a black bar that can be removed.
Bundle correspondence for the case file
Email correspondence with clients and counterparties is printed to PDF (or exported from Outlook). Merge all emails in chronological order for the client file. Flatten the bundled correspondence for archiving.
